Applications Are Open: The ACM Fellowship Is Back

If you’ve been waiting for a sign to finally apply, this is it.

The ACM Fellowship is officially open for applications, and if you’re a first-generation student who’s ever thought “study abroad sounds amazing, but I don’t know if it’s actually for me,” we built this for you.

We know what usually stands between a student and a semester (or a summer, or a single trip) abroad. It’s rarely a lack of interest. It’s the stuff nobody tells you about until you’re already stuck: the flight costs that scholarships don’t cover, the visa paperwork, the textbooks, the quiet fear of not knowing what you don’t know. That gap is exactly what the Fellowship exists to close.

What you actually get

Direct funding. Money toward the real, unglamorous costs flights, visas, books, the expenses that gap scholarships tend to skip right over.

Global Ready Workshops. The prep nobody hands you: how to manage money abroad, how to navigate culture shock before it hits, which questions to ask before you’re the one having to figure it out mid-trip.

A two-year mentor. Someone who’s already stood at the exact threshold you’re standing at now, before the trip, during it, and after you’re back. They’re there to help you navigate the process and help make sense of it all.

One application. All three.

Why now

Every year, students who’d thrive abroad talk themselves out of applying because they assume the process, or the trip itself, isn’t built for someone like them. The ACM Fellowship exists because that assumption is wrong, and because the students who go on to do the most with these opportunities are usually the ones who almost didn’t apply at all.

If that’s you: apply. Let us handle the rest.
